Step 01
book in your session
It's best to shoot me a message to start chatting about what you're after - we can work out where you would like to have the session, who will be coming along and anything in particular you'd love to capture. I have plenty of awesome locations I can recommend all over Sydney.
Step 02
GET IN TOUCH
Once you know which package you'd like to select, you will receive a Client Agreement and Booking Form to complete, along with a deposit request. Once that has all been sorted, you're locked in! I will be in touch the week of the session to confirm the location and do a weather check. You will also receive a session prep guide for hints on what to wear and some hot tips for a super fun session.
Step 03
photo day
Yay! We meet up and have fun. My aim is for your entire tribe to be relaxed and be themselves. I usually grab a few shots at the beginning where you're all looking at me (grandparents love those ones!), the rest is just you and your family hanging out. The in between moments are always my favourite.
Step 04
Your gallery
This is the best part! It will take me around 2 weeks to have your gallery to you. You will receive each digital image in both a colour and a b/w version (cause I just love b/w so like to includes these!). Digital galleries will be stored for 3 months before they expire. If you have chosen an Express session, you have the option to upgrade to the entire digital gallery should you wish to (and most do!).
FAQ
Do you travel for photoshoots?
Yes! I am happy to go anywhere in the world! To be fair, most of the time it is in Sydney :) I have a few favourite spots but also happy to travel. Travel is included within 20 kms of Terrey Hills. Travel outside this incurs a $50 travel fee.
What should we wear for our session?
Honestly, whatever you feel comfortable in. I always recommend neutral tones as they shoot well and don't date - but I also say that these photos are not going on my wall! So if you're into bright and funky, go for it. I would avoid logos as they are distracting and colours that compliment rather than match are great. You will receive a Style Guide when you book in your session which gives some tips on tones throughout the different seasons.
How long does it take to get our photos?
I usually take around 2 weeks from the session. If you're in a hurry though, just let me know and I can do my best!
Do you offer albums or prints?
YES! I have some amazing professional labs that I partner with to offer gorgeous prints and products.
I have been shooting long enough now to know that hard drives fail, USBs are outdated and computers crash. Digital files are great, until you lose them. I can not recommend highly enough to PRINT YOUR PHOTOS! You've gone to the effort of having the session so this is the EASY part, displaying your memories.
Products are available 4-6 weeks after they have been ordered and can be collected from the Terrey Hills studio or can be delivered for an additional fee.
What if it rains?
Yep - rain is rubbish. I will do everything to avoid shooting in the rain as it is not much fun.
Cloudy is fine, rain I will usually cancel. I would rather reschedule (even if it's on the day) unless there is no other possible way. I also have the studio as a great backup if needed.
What if one of the kids is sick on the day?
I have kids - I get totally get it. I would always rather reschedule and have happy people than push ahead when they're not feeling themselves.
Can the Grandparents come along?
For sure! Extended family sessions are awesome. Please note that for extended family you will need to select the Premium package as the sessions take longer but you also get more photos!
Can we do both Studio and Outdoor?
Yes! The Studio backs right on the bush. I will often start the session in the Studio then head outdoors and let the kidlets run amok! It is like one big adventure playground, we sometimes even see horses! They can climb up on the rocks, the trees and explore the trail. So much fun all in one spot!
