Before your session

  • Complete a Client Agreement, Questionnaire and pay the Session Fee to secure your session

  • A confirmation email will be sent once your deposit has been paid

  • Your session date and time will be confirmed in once your baby arrives (newborn sessions are held Monday - Friday)

  • Please email or text to advise your baby has arrived within 24-48 hours of their birth

  • Read over this preparation guide the day before your session

  • Give baby a warm bath the morning of your session (if possible)

  • Give a feed either at home before you leave or once you arrive at the studio

  • For ‘in-home’ sessions, please allow a space for set up and turn your heating on if possible

  • Bring your nappy bag, spare bottles, a dummy (even if your baby doesn't take one, please bring along).

  • Bring any special heirlooms/blankets/special outfits etc if you would like to incorporate those into any images.

During your session

  • Relax! Having a newborn is tiring, so I encourage you to sit back, relax and enjoy the session

  • Water and light snacks are available during your session. If you have any food allergies please bring your own snacks.

  • Family and sibling poses are done first. Siblings are the responsibility of parents

  • Newborn sessions can take around 2 hours. Sometimes more if your baby needs a few extra cuddles or a top up feed during the session

  • The studio is full of beautiful props, blankets, wraps, rompers, bonnets, headbands etc. You are welcome to choose your favourite colours and props once you arrive.

  • Even if your child doesn't normally take a dummy, it is handy to have at the session to settle them and may be needed to achieve some of the poses.

After your session

Framed Prints

  • You will receive a gallery link approximately one week after the session containing your soft-proofed digitals. Once you have seen your images, you then choose which package suits your needs best.

  • Once your chosen package has been selected and paid for, your images will be beautifully edited.

  • Order your products & prints. These will take approximate 2-4 weeks from the date the order is placed

  • Download your digital images.

  • Collect your products once they arrive from the Terrey Hills studio
